In the wilderness of Baranja, a group of elite hunters gathers for a traditional trophy hunt of the legendary Baranja stag. Among them are Anna and her eighteen-year-old son Eric, who is taking part in his first hunt while carrying the burden of his father’s legacy.

After the old innkeeper Sandor warns them about the legend of the Wild Hunt, a ghostly procession that punishes those who desecrate the forest, the expedition descends into a nightmare filled with hallucinations, corpses, and disappearances. As the hunters begin dying one by one in brutal traps, it becomes clear that they are no longer the predators, but the prey.

At first, his only goal is to sell his grandfather’s old tavern and leave the past behind. But as he reconnects with his roots, childhood memories of cooking with his grandfather resurface, along with a forgotten passion for food and life itself.

The film captures memory, family ties and Istrian heritage through a poetic lens, but the journey behind the camera is just as powerful.
